When hiring a skip the most important thing to consider is which size skip you will require. With such a large selection of open and closed skip sizes and optional drop down doors to choose from it can be difficult to decide.

Furthermore to prevent wasted space within the skip, we would recommend any large bulky items wardrobes, beds, sheds etc are broken down into smaller pieces.

We strongly believe that it is better for customers to hire a skip that is not completely filled, than to have a skip that is too small. Otherwise you may end up needing to hire a second skip, at a further cost.

• 2 cubic yard skips are usually the smallest skip used by the general public ideal for small household and garden clearances.
• 6 – 8 yard skips are usually the biggest skip used by the general public. They are the largest you can use for soil/inert waste.
• 10 – 16 Yard skips are for light waste only. Ideal for office/household clearances.
• 20 – 40 yard Roll on/ Roll off skips are for commercial use only. For large warehouse clearances. 20 yards can be used for soil/inert waste excavations also.
• An 8 yard is generally the largest size skip able to be placed onto the highway. Findaskip can provide permits via your local council.
